Customer Story
Challenge:
Thomson Reuters needed to increase productivity by consolidating and streamlining data monitoring and collection processes across data silos (as well as the entire organization), and improve the quality, timeliness and completeness of data.
Solution:
Thomson Reuters used the Connotate solution to deploy an enterprise-scale, content monitoring and collection service offering for client groups throughout Thomson Reuters called Rapid Source Automation (RSA). Today the RSA program is being utilized globally by a number of groups throughout Thomson Reuters from both a top-down and bottom-up approach. The RSA program is well-received as an easy-to-use solution with a high success rate in which internal clients can often realize the benefits of data automation in 30 minutes. Using Connotate has enabled the Thomson Reuters RSA team of 3 people to lead internal groups in the monitoring of more than 20,000 Web data sources.
Result:
The Connotate solution enabled Thomson Reuters to master Web data monitoring and harvesting of unstructured and semi-structured data, streamlining processes across data silos and the organization and statistical and heuristic monitoring techniques. Completeness, quality and timeliness of data are also greatly improved.
Testimonial:
“We use this as an enabling platform to help us deliver the content our customers want, with superior timeliness, and to be more agile in how we respond to client needs. As a result, clients should see more content, better content, better quality, better response times and fewer issues.”
