Ask Jeeves Selects Connotate's Web Mining Solution

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ – February 14, 2003 – As a leader in Web mining solutions, Connotate Technologies, Inc., located in New Brunswick, New Jersey, announced today that Ask Jeeves in Emeryville, California, the Web’s second most popular search engine, has selected Connotate Technologies vTag Web Mining Server™ to provide data extraction and Web mining capabilities. Using the server’s automated monitoring, extraction, filtering, and delivery capabilities, Ask Jeeves is able to collect content that will be used to provide Internet searches with more relevant results.
Ask Jeeves’ Knowledge Systems Group, which is responsible for natural language and editorial technologies, will use the system to mine various Web sources for information. Connotate’s vTag Web Mining Server™ has been selected to help automate this process and increase the amount of information available to Ask Jeeves’ natural language processing engine.
