Sales Executive/Northeast Financial Accounts Manager

Candidates should have a solid track record in penetrating commercial and investment banks, asset management institutions, mutual funds, brokers, hedge funds and insurance firms.

Reports to Vice President of Sales

Responsibilities:

  • Manage solution sales for financial accounts in the Northeast U.S.
  • Take a strong leadership initiative in sales, account management and new business development.
  • Understand data content needs in the market and strengths and limitations of various alternatives
  • Effectively configure Connotate’s capabilities to match clients’ business problems.
  • Operate out of our New Brunswick, NJ head office or in New York City, with frequent travel in the Tri-state area.

Qualifications:

  • An experienced, responsible and creative sales person with a minimum of 5 years experience selling technology solutions to the investment community in New York City and the tri-state area.
  • A solid track record for quota attainment.
  • Knowledge of the data acquisition and management problems experienced by financial institutions in the front, middle and back office.
  • Knowledge of market data providers.
  • Knowledge of Hedge Funds, Research and Content Services to Trading Operations.
  • Knowledge of related disciplines including Knowledge Management (KM), Business Intelligence (BI) and Business Process Improvement (BPI).
  • An undergraduate college degree. Graduate work is a plus.

Compensation:
Base salary commensurate with experience and track record and commissions with no cap. On target earnings will exceed $200k per year.

Connotate Technologies, an enterprise software company in New Brunswick is currently seeking talented inside sales professionals who have a successful track record in software lead generation and prospecting.

The role of the Connotate Technologies Inside Sales and Lead Generation Specialist is to aggressively identify and qualify new business opportunities by building relationships with potential mid-tier to enterprise sized prospects via the telephone, e-mail and the web. The role carries the responsibility of generating and managing sales leads for the field sales force and meeting and exceeding qualified lead and revenue goals. The position currently reports directly to the VP Sales and requires extensive interaction with the field sales force.

Qualifications:
Qualified candidates should have a minimum of 2+ years experience in inside sales or sales; enterprise software, software tools and/or high tech sales is preferred. Candidate must also have cold calling expertise in a B2B direct lead generation environment calling at a very high level. In addition qualified applicants should have a proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales goals. Must have the ability to create a strong relationship with a team of 2-4 Field Sales Reps.   • Take a strong leadership initiative in sales, account management and new business development
  • Understand data content needs in the market and strengths and limitations of various alternatives
  • Follow up leads sourced from the web, trade shows and referrals
  • Coordinate and host Webex and live presentations to small and large groups
  • Effectively configure Connotate’s capabilities to match clients’ business problems
  • Complete sales transactions including proposal, pilot closure, deal closure, contract signing and post-sale hand off to Operations
  • Report sales activity in company sales force automation system.

Qualifications:

Senior Software Engineer/Architect

Join us as a Senior Software Engineering / Architect and apply your experience in web application architecture and enterprise-level software development to create unique solutions for our clients.

As Senior Software Engineer/Architect you will develop innovative ways of integrating solutions into a high-performance hosted environment. This role spans both application and systems development, and will require a strong knowledge of .NET, XML, C#.NET, database programming. Our software is primarily written in C# using the Microsoft .Net framework. Experience with ASP.NET, ADO.NET, as well as advanced concepts such as custom controls, remoting and web services is a plus. At a minimum you should have used these concepts with a different technology.

Reports to Vice President of Product Development

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the overall architecture of our product, analyze problems, and propose new features and enhancements.
  • Provide technical leadership to the Engineering team, be able to drive major projects and be able to collaborate effectively with other teams in a very dynamic environment.
  • Deliver software projects on schedule and with high quality.
  • Work closely with QA and support teams to ensure total product quality and integration.

Qualifications:

  • BS Computer Science or related field, Masters Degree is a plus.
  • 7+ years of software development experience.
  • 3+ years of .Net, C# experience. Experience using the more advanced features of the .Net Framework, such as Reflection, CodeDom, and the MS language namespaces is a big plus. Past strong experience using COM, VB, C++ also a benefit.
  • Must be innovative, resourceful, and willing to take initiative.
  • Must be an independent thinker, yet still be a team-player willing to take and give direction.
  • Must have project management and people management skills.
  • Past experience working in a Financial Sector, Content Management, or Portal Management software development company a plus.
  • Experience as development team member of commercial software product development company is a big plus. Large-scale systems development is a plus too.

Client Services Business Analyst

Join us as a Business Analyst who will be responsible for working with Connotate’s customers – both potential and actual – to identify appropriate business needs and implement Connotate’s Agent Community GEN2 software solution to address those needs. The Business Analyst will also be responsible for product demonstrations and for developing and executing training for customers.

The Business Analyst will work with the customer’s business stakeholders to develop the business case for our solution, gather requirements from a business and more detailed level and then create the solutions using our software. The Business Analyst will continue to work with customer to ensure their successful adoption of our solution. In addition, the business analyst will also work closely with Connotate sales executives during the pre-sale process and on proposal development, proof-of-concept development, demonstrations, etc.

The individual must welcome the challenge of learning about different business organizations and the challenges they face. A critical success factor for this individual will be the ability to think creatively and problem solve for the best ways to retrieve information from websites. In addition, this individual should have substantial experience in the business workings of information-based companies, ideally in finance or publishing.

Reports to VP of Client Services

Responsibilities:

  • Post-sales: Work with business users to elicit and capture business requirements, create web-based solutions using Connotate’s software, conduct customer training, provide post-implementation support.
  • Pre-sales: Conduct product demonstrations, develop proof of concepts, work with customer to develop business case.
  • Discover new sources of information and develop Agent building approach and methodologies.
  • Work with customers on developing organizational strategies for implementing Agents.
  • Some travel required.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum two years business experience, ideally in the financial services area.
  • Bachelor’s degree with at least some courses in software, MIS or computing related topics.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Direct customer communications are an important part of this position.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with business stakeholders to elicit business requirements.
  • Proactive, self-starter who can drive short-term projects to rapid completion.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Series 7 or other financial industry certifications are beneficial but not required
  • Deeply interested in using the web – frequent web surfer.
  • General understanding of IT systems architecture.
  • Knowledge of HTML, Javascript and query languages helpful.
  • Excellent training and presentation skills.
